SpiralFrog Signs Deal with Warner Music
For those who haven’t heard of SpiralFrog.com they launched in September 2007 and offer ad-supported free music download. They allow users to download music free from a selection of over 1 million songs and 4,000+ music videos.
SpiralFrog is expected to announce later today that they have signed a deal with Warner Music Group. This is significant as Warner is one of the big four music labels. They already have agreements with Universal and EMI.
This move will give SpiralFrog access to music from artists like Green Day, James Blunt, Eric Clapton, The Goo Goo Dolls, Faith Hill, Kid Rock, Nickelback, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and many more.
SpiralFrog now boasts over 850,000 sign ups for their free music downloads. The deal with Warner Music Group should help that number continue to rise. In comparison Rhapsody has over 1.5 million customers and eMusic has over 400,000 customers.
